Staff Device Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Staff Device Engineer, the full-time remote position will tackle complex reverse engineering, fingerprinting, and automated control challenges across network-connected devices in critical industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Reverse engineer and automate control of network-connected devices, focusing on complex devices and protocols
• Drive identification and fingerprinting of network-connected devices across embedded, IoT, and OT/ICS endpoints
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate field needs into engineering outcomes, while mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with a proven track record of shipping production systems
• Deep expertise in developing and debugging with Node.js and strong fundamentals in modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong reverse engineering skills, including network protocol analysis and device behavior reconstruction
• Proficiency with relational databases and a solid understanding of network transport and application layer protocols
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical design discussions in a remote-first environment
