Staff DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the security engineering posture for a strategic engagement with a top-tier pharmaceutical company, the remote contract Staff DevSecOps Engineer will define secure software practices across cloud environments, focusing on AWS, Azure, and GCP while mentoring engineers and embedding security into development workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the DevSecOps reference architecture and multi-year roadmap for security across cloud environments
• Design and operate secure cloud landing zones and CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools
• Engineer compliance controls for regulated environments and automate audit artifact generation

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering or platform engineering, with 4+ years leading DevSecOps initiatives
• Deep expertise in at least one major public cloud (AWS preferred) and familiarity with another
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript, and proficiency in infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
• Experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines for organizations with over 200 developers
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security and experience in regulated industries such as pharma or healthcare
