Job Summary
Leading the design and development of safety-critical embedded software, the full-time Staff Embedded Software Engineer will create scalable systems for an autonomous vehicle platform while mentoring team members and ensuring compliance with safety standards, with options for remote work.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software architectures for real-time systems in the autonomous vehicle platform
- Mentor team members and conduct code reviews to provide technical leadership
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and support vehicle testing and field deployments
Required qualifications:
- Expert in C++ for embedded systems development in safety-critical environments
- Strong understanding of RTOS concepts and programming (e.g., FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS)
- Experience with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or similar
- Proficient in hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and BSP development
- Good understanding of CAN and Ethernet communication protocols in an automotive context
