Staff Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Engineer to lead complex initiatives across their real-time money movement and payments platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the payments platform, ensuring safe and reliable money movement
• Lead cross-team technical direction and drive the integration of AI into engineering workflows
• Mentor senior engineers and influence strategic decisions to enhance system reliability and performance

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in building and operating distributed backend systems
• Strong background in payments, fintech, or correctness-critical systems
• Proven experience in leading complex, cross-team initiatives
• Deep expertise in system design, including event-driven architectures and microservices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and backend technologies like C#/.NET
