Staff Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of the Insurance Application Issue process, the full-time Staff Engineer will collaborate with Product and Underwriting leadership to shape technology strategy, drive architectural decisions, and deliver scalable solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design systems and software integration patterns that align with engineering goals and business initiatives
• Lead the development of architecturally impactful components and frameworks for software solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers while promoting best practices across teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in engineering environments, developing scalable software solutions
• Proficiency in architecting software solutions that meet performance, availability, and security requirements
• Understanding of data and system integration patterns within application workflows
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
