Staff Engineer

Job Summary

Owning end-to-end features across backend services and AI pipelines, the full-time Staff Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable services while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Ruby/Rails, TypeScript/Node, and Python services and RESTful or gRPC APIs
• Optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL queries and service performance
• Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical lead for complex projects

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building web services or full-stack applications
• Strong hands-on experience in Ruby/Rails, TypeScript/Node, Python, or similar backends
• Deep understanding of APIs and PostgreSQL, with performance tuning experience
• Proven ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical investments
• Some knowledge of AI/ML is desired, with experience in LLMs or AI-driven toolchains being highly desirable
