Staff Engineer, AI Developer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of AI-assisted development, the full-time Staff Engineer, AI Developer Experience will enhance developer productivity and tooling while working remotely in the US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the integration of AI tools into the software development lifecycle, ensuring safe and effective usage
• Drive the evaluation and adoption of AI development tooling, focusing on practical and secure implementation
• Measure and improve developer efficiency across TypeScript/Node and Python codebases, including build times and testing frameworks

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in developer tooling or platform engineering
• Deep familiarity with TypeScript/Node and Python ecosystems, including package management and build tooling
• Experience with monorepo tooling (Nx or similar) and optimizing large codebases
• Hands-on experience with devcontainer-based development environments
• Practical experience evaluating and integrating AI development tools with a focus on standards and guardrails
