Staff Engineer - AI Toolkit

Job Summary

To shape the future of AI-enabled software engineering, the contract-to-hire Staff Engineer - AI Toolkit will lead the development of an internal AI Toolkit, define best practices, and partner with engineering teams to enhance productivity through AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and evolution of the organization's internal AI Toolkit and engineering AI ecosystem
• Define best practices, governance, standards, and onboarding experiences for AI development tools
• Partner directly with engineering teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities for AI to improve developer productivity

Required qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with modern application development
• Experience building or implementing AI-enabled developer workflows
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and/or AWS Bedrock
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and modern engineering practices
• Proven ability to influence engineers and technical leaders without direct authority
