Staff Engineer - Analytics

Job Summary

Owning the data layer and architecture of the analytics product, the full-time Staff Engineer - Analytics will design and build a tiered platform for data management, ensuring high performance and reliability while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Find and resolve database performance and scaling issues
• Own the schema and data model for analytical data
• Design and implement a multi-tier analytics architecture, optimizing workload placement based on benchmarks

Required qualifications

• Deep production experience with databases or analytical stores under customer-facing loads
• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of columnar/OLAP execution
• Experience in backend engineering with the ability to read and modify existing codebases
• Proven data architecture experience, particularly in designing multi-tier data platforms
• Familiarity with performance metrics and decision-making based on measured outcomes
