Staff Engineer, Cloud Optimization

Job Summary

To support a high-performance culture, the full-time Staff Engineer, Cloud Optimization will implement cost optimization strategies across the software stack, collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and finance to drive significant cost savings and enhance resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Spearhead FinOps initiatives to improve cost transparency and optimize resource usage
• Provide mentorship on cost-optimization best practices to engineering teams
• Develop automation workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency across teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in FinOps or cloud cost management
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management or related roles
• Proficiency in technologies such as AWS, Datadog, Kubernetes, or Terraform
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
