Staff Engineer, FHIR

Job Summary

To support the Hospital Quality Reporting program, the full-time Staff Engineer, FHIR will design, develop, and deliver software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to project success by scoping, estimating, designing, and delivering medium-to-large features while reducing technical debt
• Develop comprehensive test plans and documentation, ensuring quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to integrate quality considerations and facilitate timely bug tracking and resolution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of development experience
• Proficiency in Java/Springboot and experience with at least two additional languages such as GoLang, Python, Angular, or TypeScript
• Experience with HL7 FHIR standards and building or integrating RESTful APIs aligned to FHIR specifications
• Strong relational database experience, particularly with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology and fully automated CI/CD pipelines
