Staff Engineer for AI Systems

Job Summary

To support the AI Agentic Team, the full-time Staff Engineer for AI Systems will design, build, and own end-to-end agent systems while leveraging AI technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own agent systems for identity, fraud, risk, and commerce workflows, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and observability
• Develop reliable, multi-step agent workflows that plan, execute, and iteratively improve outcomes, incorporating human oversight as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex failures across models and infrastructure, maintaining accountability and clarity in system operations

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven impact on production systems
• Fluency in using AI agents within engineering workflows, demonstrating accountability and verification of outputs
• Experience in owning features end-to-end and effectively communicating trade-offs to diverse stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and agent frameworks, including prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks
• Ability to navigate challenging and ambiguous projects, defining problems and solutions proactively
