Staff Engineer I

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Engineer I - Research and Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Software Engineers
• Collaborate with Principal Software Engineers and Leadership to design and implement software solutions
• Drive technical initiatives, conduct code reviews, and address technical debt and performance issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in Senior Software Engineering, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Expertise in software development with proficiency in Java, Python, and associated frameworks
• Experience with relational databases, ETL processes, and high-volume transaction processing
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and agile development methodologies preferred
