Staff Engineer, Platform

Job Summary

Hands-on and technically adept, the full-time Staff Engineer, Platform will define and drive the architectural vision of the platform while designing and implementing scalable, secure solutions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the architectural vision for the platform, focusing on distributed systems and cloud-native services
• Lead technical design reviews and establish engineering best practices while mentoring engineers
• Design secure integrations and own identity and access architecture, including IAM and federation

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale backend and distributed systems
• Strong expertise in Python and Node (TypeScript) with a proven track record in production-grade services
• Deep experience with AWS services and cloud-native technologies, including security and operational best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using modern automation frameworks
• Proven ability to define technical architecture and drive platform decisions that align with business goals
