Staff Engineer - Python
Job Summary
To support the Reporting team, the full-time Staff Engineer - Python will set the technical roadmap, architect systems for report generation, and drive technical design discussions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Set the technical roadmap for reporting capabilities and prioritize technical debt
- Architect and own systems for report generation and data ingestion, primarily using Python, Django, and ClickHouse
- Evaluate production and quality issues, diagnose root causes, and implement durable fixes to reduce recurrence
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience at a staff/architect level
- Deep expertise in ClickHouse, Python, and Django
- Experience designing and scaling data-intensive systems, including data pipelines and query performance
- Proven track record of leading technical architecture decisions across teams
- Comfortable with frontend changes to admin and reporting portals
