Staff Engineering Lead

Job Summary

To drive high-impact solutions in production, the full-time Staff Engineering Lead will manage a small team of engineers, tackle complex problems related to payroll systems, and collaborate with product and operations teams, all in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take on complex, high-impact problems and drive them to resolution
• Develop engineers into stronger owners across changing areas of the business
• Work directly with product and operations to define product behavior and clarify requirements

Required qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Experience leading and developing engineers into stronger owners
• A track record of driving outcomes in ambiguous environments
• Strong technical judgment and ability to simplify systems
