Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Staff Engineering Lead will manage complex, high-impact problems related to payroll systems, ensuring reliability and scalability while working remotely or onsite in New York City or San Francisco.

Key responsibilities

• Drive resolution of complex problems and improve systems and developer workflows
• Develop engineers into stronger owners and manage projects across different business areas
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to define product behavior and clarify requirements

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams
• Ability to navigate and drive outcomes in ambiguous environments
