The full-time Staff Engineering Lead will manage a small group of engineers, driving solutions for complex, high-impact problems in payroll systems while ensuring reliability and operational efficiency, with options for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Take on complex, high-impact problems and drive them to resolution
• Develop engineers into stronger owners across changing areas of the business
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to define product behavior and clarify requirements

Required qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Experience leading and developing engineers
• Strong technical judgment with the ability to simplify systems
• Track record of driving outcomes in ambiguous environments
