Staff Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Driving high-impact solutions in a full-time capacity, the Staff Engineering Lead will manage a small team of engineers, tackling complex problems related to money movement and tax calculations while collaborating closely with product and operations teams, all in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take on complex, high-impact problems and drive them to resolution
• Develop engineers into stronger owners across changing areas of the business
• Step into the work when needed, including system design, project management, or bug fixing

Required qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Experience leading and developing engineers into stronger owners
• Strong technical judgment and ability to simplify systems
• A track record of driving outcomes in ambiguous environments
