Staff Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team in developing secure and cost-effective technical solutions, the full-time remote Staff Engineering Manager will focus on licensing management and product enablement, ensuring system architecture aligns with business goals and driving strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Guide teams in creating technical solutions for licensing and subscription access, ensuring compliance with security requirements
• Develop and enforce code review guidelines to maintain reliability and scalability of usage tracking and billing
• Drive project and release plans in coordination with Product and cross-organizational stakeholders to allocate resources effectively

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline, with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Strong system design and architecture skills, particularly in resilient system design and cloud-native distributed systems
• Experience leading large engineering teams in a fast-paced environment with a track record of delivering complex projects
• Experience with billing, metering, licensing, or systems with direct financial/compliance impact
