Job Summary
Leading a team of software engineers, the full-time Staff Engineering Manager will drive the design and delivery of high-quality software products for the PSA Set Registry, overseeing the software development lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of web and mobile applications for a global collector community
- Oversee software development lifecycle, including architecture decisions, code reviews, and release management
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams, promoting best practices and a collaborative environment
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in architecting systems and hands-on development in modern API development
- 5+ years of experience with AWS technologies such as Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway
- Proficiency in Python and experience with strongly typed languages like C# or Java
- Strong fundamentals in relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB) databases
- Demonstrated ownership of large, real-time high availability systems
