Staff FinOps Engineer

Job Summary

Leading cloud financial operations in a hybrid remote environment, the full-time Staff FinOps Engineer will drive financial governance, cost visibility, and optimization strategies across AWS and Azure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and maximize business value.

Key responsibilities

• Drive FinOps practices and establish governance frameworks for accurate financial visibility and cost management
• Deliver actionable financial insights and reporting for stakeholders, including anomaly detection and trend analysis
• Identify and implement optimization opportunities for cloud and SaaS spending while coaching teams on cost accountability

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud financial management or related disciplines
• Deep expertise in AWS cost architecture and knowledge of Azure cost management
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for reporting and automation
• Experience with implementing governance policies using infrastructure-as-code approaches
• Applied understanding of the FinOps Foundation Framework and its principles
