Staff Forward-Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Staff Forward-Deployed Engineer will manage customer accounts for member-owned electric utilities, focusing on integration work, technical assessments for new opportunities, and translating technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Join customer calls to understand and address technical needs effectively
• Own end-to-end software integration projects and develop reference architectures for new data classes
• Evaluate technical feasibility for new opportunities and communicate findings to the commercial team

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-ready systems
• Ability to operate independently and make decisions in ambiguous situations
• Strong communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences
• Experience across multiple areas such as backend integration, DevOps, and data engineering is a plus
• Genuine curiosity about the energy grid and related technologies
