Staff Frontend Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the frontend architecture and delivery of the Pulse application, the full-time Staff Frontend Engineer will shape the product experience across Microsoft Teams and Slack, collaborating closely with design and product teams to create clear, shippable experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and production delivery of Pulse's frontend, ensuring a consistent user experience
• Translate ambiguous product goals into actionable plans, defining user flows and rollout strategies
• Mentor engineers and establish frontend standards and patterns to enhance team efficiency

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building production frontend and full-stack systems, with expertise in React and TypeScript
• Strong backend and API knowledge with Node.js, GraphQL, and REST
• Proven ability to partner with designers to deliver polished user interfaces
• Experience scaling products from early stages to broader adoption
• Comfort with CI/CD, experimentation, and phased releases in production environments
