Job Summary
As a senior technical leader, the full-time Staff Gameplay Engineer will drive gameplay systems architecture for AtomEngine, providing technical direction and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and drive gameplay systems architecture, providing technical direction on complex problems
- Collaborate with designers and PMs to shape features from concept through delivery, ensuring feasibility and performance
- Mentor mid and junior engineers, investing in the team's growth and maintaining clear technical documentation
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of game engine or gameplay engineering experience, with demonstrated Staff or equivalent scope
- Deep familiarity with game engines such as Godot, Unity, or Unreal
- Experience shipping and supporting live service games at scale
- Proven ability to architect complex gameplay systems and communicate technical decisions effectively
- U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
