Staff Information Security Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Information Security Specialist, this role will manage high-impact security initiatives, support compliance efforts, and architect identity access management systems while working remotely within a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to the Director of Cybersecurity & IT, executing security initiatives and operationalizing security strategies
• Lead the compliance lifecycle for HITRUST, SOC 2, and HIPAA, utilizing automation platforms to enhance business enablement
• Architect and automate identity access management systems, implementing lifecycle automation and governance workflows across cloud environments

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in senior-level IT, DevOps, Engineering, or Security roles
• Proven experience with compliance automation platforms, specifically Vanta or similar tools
• Expert-level knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and practices
• Hands-on experience with application security workflows, including code scanning and vulnerability management
• Ability to communicate technical security risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders
