Staff Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical strategy for database and storage systems, the full-time Staff Infrastructure Reliability Engineer will collaborate with teams to enhance system reliability and maintainability, while working in a hybrid environment from Seattle, San Francisco, or Detroit, or fully remote for highly qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud database and storage systems focusing on reliability, observability, scalability, and security
• Lead complex technical discussions with various stakeholders, including software and systems engineers and business leaders
• Manage large-scale databases and participate in incident resolution and disaster recovery planning

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing systems in AWS or a similar cloud environment
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS, AWS Aurora/RDS, and other database technologies
• Proven history in architecting and supporting cloud infrastructure technologies, particularly in database and storage services
• Extensive experience with Linux administration and scripting, including Python
• Deep knowledge of AI code generation tools for implementing efficiencies in cloud infrastructure
