Staff iOS Engineer

Job Summary

Guiding the technical direction for the Neighborhoods mobile experiences, the full-time Staff iOS Engineer will lead cross-organizational initiatives, drive mobile architecture, and stay hands-on with iOS development to connect local businesses with customers through Cash App and Square.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic mobile workstreams to integrate Neighborhoods features within Cash App and Square
• Guide the architecture of mobile systems that enhance customer discovery and seller fulfillment workflows
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define product scope and make technical tradeoffs

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in iOS engineering, with strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
• Experience in guiding iOS architecture with organizational impact and scalable mobile patterns
• Proven ability to lead complex mobile product initiatives from problem framing to delivery
• Demonstrated collaboration skills across teams and disciplines to deliver impactful solutions
• Track record of mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction within organizations
