Staff IT Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the identity and access program, the full-time Staff IT Engineer will set strategic direction, resolve complex architectural challenges, and enhance automation and reliability in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the IAM strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business outcomes and driving cross-functional adoption
• Represent identity in company-wide engineering and security strategy, influencing architectural decisions and platform direction
• Lead incident response for major identity events, implementing improvements for reliability and control

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in IAM/identity engineering within fast-paced SaaS environments, with deep expertise in Okta
• Proven track record of defining technical strategy and architecture for identity programs, including JML automation
• Experience leading organization-wide access-control or RBAC deployments as the technical owner
• Established standards and documentation practices that guide engineering teams
• Ability to mentor engineers and shape team culture, while operating with autonomy in a regulated environment
