Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the full IDV ML stack, the full-time Staff Machine Learning Engineer will lead the technical strategy for identity verification models, ensuring the integrity of millions of accounts while working remotely with occasional in-person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize document authenticity models, face-matching systems, and detection mechanisms for various identity verification processes
• Develop identity-graph systems to detect synthetic-identity rings and coordinated fraud during onboarding
• Drive vendor ML strategy by benchmarking external models and building in-house evaluation layers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience deploying production ML systems at scale with technical leadership in cross-team ML architecture
• Domain expertise in identity verification or biometrics, with applied ML experience in computer vision, GNNs, or NLP
• Proficiency in Python and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for model training and serving
• Ability to translate KYC/AML requirements into ML roadmaps and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and quality
