Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the execution layer of machine learning systems, the full-time Staff Machine Learning Engineer will manage end-to-end ML system execution, fine-tune models using advanced methods, and collaborate with engineering teams to integrate solutions into products while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ML system execution, including data pipelines, training workflows, and deployment
• Fine-tune and adapt models using state-of-the-art methods to ensure performance and reliability
• Collaborate with application engineering to seamlessly integrate ML systems into various products

Required qualifications

• Experience building and shipping real machine learning systems used in production
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch or JAX
• Ability to write production-grade code with a focus on system correctness
• Comfortable working with large models and understanding their failure modes
• Self-directed with a pragmatic approach to ownership and outcomes
