Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a visionary and hands-on Staff Machine Learning Engineer, this full-time remote position will lead the technical strategy and execution of Growth and Engagement ML initiatives, focusing on designing systems that enhance user acquisition, retention, and product engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical roadmap for Growth and Engagement ML systems, ensuring scalability and measurable business impact
• Design, train, and validate sophisticated models targeting user lifecycle stages, including churn propensity and lifetime value forecasting
• Mentor and coach senior engineers while advocating for ML engineering best practices across the organization

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, data science, or software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership capacity
• Proven track record of building and scaling ML systems in growth, marketing tech, or consumer engagement domains
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, with extensive experience in ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Deep understanding of causal inference, uplift modeling, and robust statistical testing methodologies
• Ability to connect algorithmic improvements to top-line growth metrics, demonstrating strong business acumen
