Staff Machine Learning Scientist

Job Summary

Leading the development of personalization products, the full-time Staff Machine Learning Scientist will manage the end-to-end process of recommender systems for digital platforms, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and engineers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for personalization and recommender systems to meet business goals
• Propose and deliver R&D initiatives that influence multiple projects and long-term deliverables
• Design and lead the development of scalable software for personalization across teams

Required qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field, or Master's with 8+ years of applied ML experience
• Deep expertise in recommender systems and experience shipping scalable systems
• Expert-level Python skills and proficiency with modern ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Strong experience with cloud-based ML infrastructure and containerization technologies
• Advanced SQL skills and experience in architecting large-scale data pipelines
