Staff Machine Learning Scientist

Job Summary

Leading the development of personalization products, the full-time Staff Machine Learning Scientist will manage recommender systems for websites and marketing initiatives in a remote environment, focusing on model development, deployment, and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for personalization and recommender systems, aligning with business goals
• Design and lead the development of scalable software solutions used by multiple teams, ensuring long-term maintainability
• Establish experimentation best practices, including A/B testing frameworks and metrics design across personalization surfaces

Required qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or Master's with 8+ years of applied ML experience
• Deep expertise in recommender systems and a track record of shipping systems that operate at scale
• Expert-level Python skills and proficiency with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Strong experience with cloud-based ML infrastructure and containerization technologies
• Advanced SQL skills and experience architecting large-scale data pipelines
