Staff Materials Research Scientist

Job Summary

Serving as the scientific bridge between generative chemistry discovery and external partners, the full-time Staff Materials Research Scientist will manage the partner validation loop, operate the discovery workflow for PFAS-substitution use cases, and apply semiconductor domain judgment to ensure the accuracy of candidate molecules in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the partner validation loop by translating partner problems into target specifications and qualification criteria
• Run the discovery workflow and rank candidates for decision-ready shortlists for experimental validation
• Apply semiconductor domain judgment to validate lead molecules against real-world constraints

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with specialization in semiconductor process materials or fluorochemistry
• 6+ years of post-PhD experience in industrial or applied R&D related to semiconductor process chemicals
• Working knowledge of semiconductor unit processes and performance specifications for process-material qualification
• Demonstrated ability to lead engagements with external industrial partners and translate experimental results into computational requirements
• Proficiency in Python for running and configuring computational discovery workflows
