Staff ML Research Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff ML Research Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and scale ML algorithms based on scientific research into robust scientific code
• Lead the ideation, benchmarking, and execution of complex datasets and ML models
• Implement software and hardware optimizations for ML pipelines in distributed cloud GPU environments

Required Qualifications

• MSc (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of industry experience in developing productionized software
• Experience training and optimizing large-scale ML pipelines on distributed cloud GPUs
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools
• Experience supporting models in external-facing products
