Staff .Net Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a dynamic engineering team, the contract Staff .Net Backend Engineer will architect, build, and deliver cloud-native services using C# and .NET Core, primarily on AWS Lambda, while collaborating with Business Analysts and mentoring junior engineers in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect and deliver high-performance distributed services in C# and .NET Core, ensuring robust API design and documentation
• Build resilient, event-driven systems utilizing AWS messaging services, managing end-to-end feature delivery and technical direction
• Mentor and up-level engineering practices within the team, promoting a high-quality engineering culture and adherence to best practices

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience as a senior-to-staff-level backend engineer with expertise in C# and .NET Core 8/9
• Strong authority in AWS serverless architecture, including Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS
• Deep data expertise with Aurora RDS MySQL and DynamoDB, including schema design and query optimization
• Experience designing event-driven systems with a focus on operational robustness and messaging patterns
• Strong product mindset with the ability to prioritize trade-offs and drive solutions from concept to delivery
