Staff Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and evolution of hybrid-cloud and workplace infrastructure, the full-time remote Staff Operations Engineer will manage complex infrastructure projects, drive technical direction, and ensure system reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve architecture within a defined infrastructure domain, implementing scalable and reliable systems
• Lead delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects, breaking down complex problems into actionable solutions
• Collaborate across teams to unify solutions and influence technical decisions through design reviews

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong experience designing and operating production infrastructure, including VMware and Cisco UCS
• Solid expertise in Linux/Unix operating systems and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing)
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work across teams
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Puppet or Ansible
