Staff Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to lead critical initiatives that improve the reliability, performance, and velocity of engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major database infrastructure efforts, including version upgrades and replication strategies
• Modernize the application stack by identifying outdated dependencies and executing upgrades

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with production applications
• Deep familiarity with PostgreSQL and managed database systems
• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer environments
• Pragmatic approach to tooling, automation, and systems trade-offs
