Staff Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Platform Engineer specializing in Observability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and maintain the enterprise observability stack while empowering teams to leverage observability tools
• Design and deliver training programs and workshops to educate engineering teams on best practices for monitoring and troubleshooting
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, diagnosing complex production issues and optimizing application performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
• Expert-level knowledge of modern observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, or Datadog
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud platforms and services
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing observability infrastructure
