Staff Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the infrastructure for a unique AI platform, the full-time hybrid Staff Platform Engineer will build and manage cloud systems, deployment practices, and reliability protocols to support AI-driven features while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the platform, designing architectures for long-running AI agent sessions and real-time messaging
• Define service-level objectives (SLOs), build observability stacks, and manage incident responses to maintain high uptime
• Own the end-to-end deployment pipeline, ensuring smooth production releases and optimizing AI inference costs

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software/infrastructure engineering experience, with 4+ years in a senior IC or technical leadership role
• Deep expertise in running production systems on major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi), and modern CI/CD tooling
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript, with a focus on building tooling
• Proven track record of scaling infrastructure through significant growth in a production environment
