Staff Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a permanent capacity, the Staff Platform Engineer will design and build core platform services for scalable data analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance platform reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, high-performance platform components, focusing on scalability and reliability
• Enhance APIs, optimize data pipelines, and integrate security best practices in platform development
• Mentor engineering teammates, ensuring high technical standards and effective collaboration

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, particularly in backend and platform development
• Proficiency in JVM languages such as Java or Kotlin
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams
