Staff Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To lead platform engineering strategy across complex cloud systems, the full-time Staff Platform Engineer will define standards, drive DevSecOps practices, and mentor engineers while working remotely on a 4-month contract with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities
- Define DevOps strategy and lead infrastructure architecture across multi-environment cloud systems
- Own infrastructure as code strategy and standards, ensuring platform reliability and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of professional DevOps or platform engineering experience
- Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash)
- Deep cloud expertise across at least one major platform
- Experience with AI/ML platform infrastructure and CI/CD at scale
