Staff Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the platform and security foundations of Maestro, the full-time Staff Platform Engineer will design and operate a multi-tenant control plane for an AI-powered system, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the Maestro platform, including design and operation of the control plane and user runtime on private GKE
• Lead the end-to-end security model, managing identity separation and implementing secure token management practices
• Oversee fleet operations, ensuring high availability and performance for over 500 pods while driving infrastructure as code and audit capabilities

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software/infrastructure engineering with a focus on large-scale, security-critical distributed systems
• Expertise in Kubernetes, including production operators and multi-tenancy, along with strong cloud-native architecture experience on GCP
• Deep knowledge of applied security engineering, including service mesh mTLS, OAuth 2.0, and zero-trust patterns
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python with a strong understanding of system architecture and observability practices
• Experience with production LLM/agent systems and the ability to secure and operate agentic architectures effectively
