Staff Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing developer infrastructure company, the full-time Staff Platform Engineer will own and scale the cloud infrastructure, lead customer-cloud deployments, and operationalize IaC and GitOps foundations in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind the open-source platform, including compute, networking, and data layers
- Lead BYOC initiatives to transform customer-cloud deployments into scalable products with efficient provisioning and observability
- Ensure reliability as a product feature by establishing meaningful SLOs and a trusted incident process
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles with experience in high-traffic production systems
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes and strong AWS fluency; exposure to GCP and Azure is a plus
- Proficiency in Terraform, including module creation and multi-account topologies
- Strong database skills, particularly in Postgres, including performance optimization and migration under load
- Experience with compliance processes such as SOC 2 or ISO audits and security reviews
