Staff Product Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Product Designer to join the Personalisation Patterns team, this role will drive system quality, partner with cross-functional teams, and advance systemic thinking to enhance user experiences across Pinterest's design systems and component libraries, with the flexibility to work remotely and occasional in-office collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the evolution and adoption of core design patterns and component libraries to ensure cohesive user experiences
• Act as a strategic advisor to product, engineering, and design teams, empowering them to utilize best-in-class patterns
• Prototype and validate new ideas, translating abstract solutions into practical design patterns using various tools

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product design, focusing on design systems or pattern libraries
• Portfolio showcasing polished interface design and systemic thinking across large organizations
• Expert-level skills in motion and visual design, with a strong understanding of usability principles
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and accessibility in design practices
