Staff Product Designer

Job Summary

To elevate customer engagement with Square's product experience, the full-time Staff Product Designer will design high-craft experiences that drive adoption and retention, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design product experiences that facilitate seller onboarding and success across Square's ecosystem
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define strategy and deliver end-to-end flows that enhance adoption and retention
• Provide actionable feedback and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the Growth organization

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product design, showcasing strong interaction design and problem-solving across mobile and web
• Demonstrated success in designing for native mobile applications (iOS and Android) with nuanced transitions and gestures
• A systems thinker capable of mapping complex flows while focusing on detail
• Experience driving measurable outcomes related to engagement, activation, or retention
• Strong collaboration skills with a customer-first mindset, interpreting data into design decisions
