Staff Product Designer

Job Summary

To support the evolution of user interactions at Affirm, the remote Staff Product Designer will lead AI-driven design initiatives, creating proactive consumer experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define a strategic roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive design AI and agentic initiatives for Affirm's Consumer experience, delivering high-impact, customer-centric solutions
• Design intuitive, conversational patterns that enhance user engagement and move beyond reactive commerce
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to innovate and deliver seamless experiences

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience with a focus on complex, high-stakes consumer financial products
• Proven track record of designing AI-driven, agentic, or conversational user interfaces
• Strong understanding of human-centered AI principles emphasizing user trust and transparency
• Proficiency in prototyping non-linear, multi-modal user flows for complex AI interactions
• Exceptional craft and visual skills with a keen eye for detail in design systems and interaction patterns
