Staff Product Designer

Job Summary

As the founding member of the design systems team, the full-time Staff Product Designer will own the design system end to end, guiding the transition to AI-native workflows and influencing the design direction across multiple products in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a founding member of the design systems team, shaping its structure and leadership as it grows
• Own the design system, including the component library, tokens, and documentation, while improving it across teams
• Influence interaction and visual design, evolving Cherry's design language and ensuring alignment across teams

Required Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in product design
• Proven coding and technical skills, with a track record of guiding visual and interaction decisions
• Experience in improving a design system for scalability and addressing structural issues
• Strong point of view on design tooling and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated leadership potential, either through previous team management or readiness to take on that role
