Staff Product Manager

Job Summary

Owning the vision and roadmap for observability, the full-time Staff Product Manager will drive the technical and strategic direction for Render's observability surface, including logs, metrics, and traces, while working remotely to enhance the understanding of AI workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for observability, focusing on systems telemetry and agent observability
• Drive prioritization across observability investments, balancing foundational infrastructure with product needs
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to shape the technical direction of Render's telemetry pipeline

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in Product Management with experience in observability, monitoring, or infrastructure products
• Working fluency with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem and its instrumentation tradeoffs
• Familiarity with the economics of AI workloads, including token pricing and model selection
• Strong developer empathy and technical depth for making architectural tradeoffs
• A proven track record of transforming ambiguous problems into clear strategies and outcomes
